Laundry Room

I'm sprucing up my laundry room on a shoestring budget. Someday this room will get a real makeover. I'm thinking built-in shelves, slate flooring, a new sink and a real countertop. But for now the poor thing is at the mercy of my decorating whims.

First up, I gave the wood cabinet a few coats of paint and some new knobs.



Then I went online and found lots of tutorials on how to paint linoleum.



It's still a shock to me to look down and see a black floor, but I'll get used to it--and I'm pretty happy with how old-school it looks.
