Trying

Interesting how some big picture realizations can cause one to slow down and take notice of the simplest of things. A coffee-for-me/cocoa-for-him date with my littlest boy. Unexpected take-out from my favorite restaurant. A finished project. Window shopping online for shoes over the phone with my sister. My oldest hopping around with joy in the bookstore b/c he found the book to complete his series.

This Blog is My Blog

There are times when I post things that are of no interest to anyone but myself. This is one of those posts. As I'm writing, I get this niggling feeling that I should just not do it, that I should find something more blogworthy,and then...this amazingly catchy tune pops into my head: "This blog is my blog, it is not your blog, blah blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah blah.... this blog was made for me me me!" Everyone all together now!

The Emma Tote

Life has been very busy with the start of school. This is my first time to have all three kiddos in school. My youngest is gone for 3 mornings a week. I thought I'd have all kinds of time to work on shop updates, etc. However, that has not turned out to be the case. Time has been frittered away by pups that pretend they need to go out, and then just head out to play. Yanking my chain, I believe...and tracking mud in all over the floor. Ah well.

I listed a new design in my shop today. This is my first leather bag with a zipper closure. I'm still in love with the cactus green leather...too bad there's not much left of it. :(

I'm the happy recipient of some gorgeous European grain sack fabric. I paired it with chocolate distressed leather and made a bag for my shop.





Next up on this rain soaked Wednesday...some homemade bread to go with the homemade jam from this weekend.

Sewing Table

The antique sewing table that came with the house. Other stuff that came with this house I didn't much care for, but this I like.
